Interview of the Designers for the Exterior and Interior of Suzuki’s Flagship Model

We interviewed the designers of Grand Vitara debuted in 2023 to get some interesting insights about the design and the thoughts of the designers behind creating it.

Alessandro Di Gregorio (Exterior Designer)
Lead Designer at Suzuki Europe Design Centre in Torino, Italy (Suzuki Italia Design Center). He is responsible for researching advanced design and trends in Europe for future Suzuki products worldwide. His past accomplishments include advanced design, production as well as management of Ciaz, Baleno, Swift and Spacia. He was also in charge of exterior design for the last generation Elevato and when his design proposal was chosen, he got a chance to work closely for almost a year with the Headquarters Design Office in Japan.

Takumi Arita (Interior Designer)
In past, he worked on exterior designs for concept models for the Tokyo Motor Show and refinements for Ignis. The Grand Vitara was his first interior design work.

    Maruti Plans To Deliver Grand Vitara In 60 Countries, Commences Exports

    The first batch of vehicles has been shipped to Latin America.

    • With the addition of the Grand Vitara, Maruti now exports a total of 17 vehicles from India.

    • Maruti aims to export the compact SUV to around 60 countries across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, ASEAN, and neighbouring regions.

    • Locally, Maruti offers the compact SUV in three powertrain options, a strong-hybrid, mild-hybrid and CNG.

    • In India, the Grand Vitara is priced between Rs 10.45 lakh to Rs 19.65 lakh (ex-showroom).

    The Maruti Grand Vitara made its market debut in September 2022, and the compact SUV is going global. Exports of the Grand Vitara are now underway, with the first batch of vehicles already shipped to Latin America, from the Kamarjar port facility, at Chennai in Tamil Nadu.

    According to the manufacturer, the Grand Vitara will be exported to 60 nations throughout Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, ASEAN and neighbouring areas. Maruti currently has a portfolio of 17 cars that are exported from India, the Grand Vitara included.
